The owner of a Clarence Dock apartment which she had bought 15 years ago decided to try out being a City Dweller and to make sure the apartment suited her needs it was given a full makeover.
Bathrooms, Kitchen, flooring, lighting, furnishings and decorations have all been replaced. The original single flush door to the lounge was removed and the opening enlarged to accommodate the new pair of glazed ( fire compliant) French doors, the bathroom door was turned around to open inwards and the en suite bathroom door was replaced with a pocket sliding door.
Distressed, plain and smoked mirror has featured in several areas and the door to the second bedroom was moved around 500mm to allow a better layout in the new dressing room.
A good find was that the original construction had included a smaller shower than necessary for the space available and when a wall was removed it appeared the size of the shower had only been determined by the size of a smaller shower tray the original developer had allowed for.
Perimeter LED lighting has ensured that use of the spacious terrace is maximised and the whole area is soon to be carpeted in an “eternal lawn” and a patio wall heater will be installed.
